It is with great pleasure that I submit this review of Karen Giaquinto, who recently handled our NYC co-op purchase. Karen was recommended to us 13 years ago when we were looking for our first pied-à-terre in New York. Within a short time, she helped us find the perfect place and assisted with our Board application. The experience was so positive that I immediately reached out to her earlier this year when we were ready to look for our next place. Once we found the building we wanted, Karen helped us choose the right apartment and steered us through the offer and negotiations process. We never once felt pressured by her. It was always about what was in our best interests and how we felt, even when we walked away from the first property because we did not like the terms. Thankfully, the second apartment, which was better suited for us anyway, worked out thanks to Karen. She is extremely knowledgeable about the NYC co-op market and helped us craft a reasonable offer that was amenable to our circumstances and accepted by the buyer. She and her team then guided us through a challenging building application and Board approval process, always encouraging us to keep our eyes on the finish line while helping us navigate the complex deliverables. She is organized, very responsive, and just a lovely person to spend time with while selecting our next home. Karen also has a keen eye for design and helped me visualize how to furnish and decorate the prospective apartments, which led us to know which ones were right for us. Without a doubt, I highly recommend Karen and hope she stays in the industry should we need someone again down the road!
